2nd Vice Chair/RWB Ball Chairman,
As a lifelong Republican volunteer, Jo Anne Erickson has been a member of the Contra Costa Republican Party Board of Directors for six years. She currently is Chairman of the Red, White, & Blue Ball Committee, and has served as Vice President of the Executive Committee for three years.
Jo Anne has been involved in making the community she lives in better her whole life. Some personal achievements she sites include: serving as past president of the San Ramon Valley Republican Woman, and serving as Co-Chairman of the Community Outreach program, as the Docent for the San Francisco Asian Art Museum .
Furthermore, her remarkable resume includes spending time as a member of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District School Board for nine years, Chairman of the Contra Costa Board of American Red Cross, President of Los Cerros Intermediate and San Ramon Valley High School PTAs, Vice President of Communications for the Junior League of Oakland East Bay, and member of the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council of Contra Costa County, where she taught Drug Education Prevention at local schools.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Institution Management from the University of Washington , and a three-year course in Asian Art History at the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco .
In her spare time, she enjoys tennis, needle-pointing, reading, and studying for the next Asian exhibition.
Jo Anne is happily married to Jess Erickson. She has three children and six grandchildren.
