Nicholas Gerber for Congressional District 10
Nicholas Gerber was born in New York City in 1962. At age eight, he moved to Chappaqua, New York where he attended Horace Greeley High School. He earned his M.B.A from the University of San Francisco in 1989 and his B.A. of Economics from Skidmore College in 1984. While pursuing his degrees, Nicholas began to apply himself in the investment world. Nicholas interned at Bedell Investment Counseling as a Research Analyst during 1988. From 1986 to 1989 Nicholas was a General Trading Partner at Victory Fund I, where Nicholas was responsible for advising courses of actions for $450,000 in stock index futures. After finishing his education, Nicholas became a Financial Analyst/Appraiser at Value Research Corporation in Los Angeles.
A self described serial entrepreneur, Nicholas was always on the move, looking for the next big opportunity. He became the Managing Director of the Marc Stevens Futures Index Fund in 1992. In 1993 Nicholas began to work for Bank of America Capital Management as a Portfolio Manager. During his first years he was responsible for directing the investment of approximately $32 million. A few years and a promotion later, Nicholas was responsible for managing and investing $249 million dollars. Nicholas founded Ameristock Mutual Fund, which is responsible for $800 million in investments.
Nicholas married his wife Melinda in 1994 and they have two children: Jacob and Vasch. Nicholas has spent a good deal of time traveling the world. He has visited Israel, Australia, New Zealand, and the former Soviet Union among other nations.
