What is a Central Committee?

The Central Committee plays an important, grass roots role in the political process. It is the county-level leadership for the California Republican Party. The Committee's members are elected by supervisorial district. In addition, the Party's nominees for Congress, State Senate, and Assembly serve as ex-officio members.

The Current Central Committee

The Contra Costa County Republican Party (the Central Committee) has been invigorated with new leadership. Under the direction of its new Chairman, Thomas G. Del Beccaro, the Central Committee's by-laws, management and structure have been modernized.

Our Mission Statement

The Contra Costa Republican Party is dedicated to electing Republican officials at all levels of government, to increasing the awareness of Republican principles and the recruitment of volunteers.

    The 2006 goals are:

    1. Increase the Republican registration and size of Party membership.
    2. Inform Party members of candidates supported by the party through our newsletter, website, and Central Committee sponsored events.
    3. Enlist volunteers for a precinct organization, letter to the editor program, and voter registration.
    4. Raise the necessary funds through events, direct solicitation of donations, and direct mail to accomplish these goals.
